Keen-eyed OHP readers might notice that this particular purple fella is a bit rare. K’babans are a gynomorphic species, but that obviously doesn’t preclude transfolk! You’ve probably guessed by their preoccupation with the rulebook, but K’babans come from a fairly conservative homeworld. Strict adherence to societal norms is not only encouraged, deviation from them is often relentlessly punished. Not so great for anyone who doesn’t easily assimilate!
Earth is far from the watchful eyes of the matriarchs of K’bab, as well as falling outside of the Tri-Galactic Federation’s jurisdiction, making it the ideal destination for anyone looking to start a new life. And since this is all going down at the start of 2001, that life ain’t too bad!
Earthlings are notoriously terrible at identifying aliens on sight, which makes blending in as easy as apple pie. Or perhaps banana cream pie? Which one has better air velocity?
