Professor Oliva is one of the universe’s leading scientific minds. Her studies in telephysics have led to countless breakthroughs in teleportation-based technology, the latest of which is the stasis tube: A bounty pacification tool designed to non-lethally subdue targets by storing them in suspended animation. Stasis tubes are currently being tested in the field to aid in the apprehension of Zukie and Pepito D’bo, two of the most dangerous space pirates in the galaxy. An outspoken pacifist, Professor Oliva refuses to allow her work to be used for weapons development, a source of considerable friction with her current employer.
The professor’s left arm is a cybernetic prosthesis of her own design. After accidental exposure to a military bioweapon left her an amputee, she found herself compelled to construct her own solution. Immersing herself in Moloki research, she became a self-taught expert in bionics, developing her own neuro-linked synthetic replacement and placing herself at the forefront of cyborg and android medicine. Although she’s still a little sensitive about the visibility of her scars and artificial limb, she’s learning to look at her new self with the same confidence she projects in the lab.
